Can West Squelches another one of their own polls:
Ottawa, ON – A new Ipsos Reid poll conducted exclusively for CanWest News Service and Global Television reveals that Stephane Dion’s Liberals (33%) are edging closer to Harper’s Conservatives (35%), placing these two leading parties in a statistical tie. Gaining two points since early March, and rising steadily since the middle February, the Liberal Party is narrowing the gap between itself and the reigning Tories."
Andrew Coyne was on CBC the other day and talking about how, with respect to The Greens and ADQ, it seemed possible these days to attract votes without having much of a "ground game". Given stuff like this going on in Quebec, The Libs better learn the trick.
Mind you, I think Coyne mentioned something about having a coherent strategy to articulate...

I read the G&M, and it would make one sick..can't anyone get things straight? It is all out now and it is an embarrassment. It is no wonder they do not know what to do in parliament. Is it all Dion's fault? All I know is someone has to step up and do something, fast, or we are all toast, for quite some time, and our country will become a complete hell. with Harper sticking it to all of us.
I find it curious that this poll is released today, and that NP hasn't picked up on. The results were ready on Friday, per usual, and yet we get this scant release the following Tuesday. If memory serves, the last time this happened, there was also bad news for the Cons.

Bad news or no news. I imagine in this case a bit of both. Last time they totally sat on a poll (didn't show up anywhere but Ipsos until word got out on the net)the Tories had fallen out of Majority territory.

BTW, what message does this sent to your polling outfit. Give us iffy results, and we won't even put them on our flagship paper. Give us what we want, frontpage on Friday baby!
The CPC normally poll higher during breaks, so in essence this is slightly different.
All it shows is when the NDP goes down, the Libs go up.
Big surprise.
Doesn't worry Conservatives at all. I'd be happy with 20 years of minority govt.
