Not Helpful

There are other things in the Lib platform besides The Green Shift, and strategically it makes a fair bit of sense to start emphasizing them. But having

Green Shift not major platform plank, Dion says

...on the top of The TO Star is really, really not helpful. I would like to know what

"You have said it was but never me," Dion told reporters.

...was in response to, because I suspect The Star is probably mis-representing the context of Dion's answer. If not, then someone should give our boy a punch in the mouth. I mean, as far as I can recall, the "green farming" measures Dion introduced today are a part of The Green Shift package. Announce them while at the same time dumping on the plan as a whole?

That doesn't really make any sense, and so I am assuming that isn't what happened. And I would note that other media outlets spun the story in an entirely different manner.

Finally, now I understand what the Green Shift is.

Makes perfect sense.

While most at liblogs.ca are busy talking about the stupid comments a conservative cabinet minster made, no one seems to be addressing the fact that the big green elephant in the room magically disappeared.

I respect you for being the only one at liblogs to mention this.

Talk about straining at a gnatt and swallowing a camel.

Yeah, I noticed that not one other news source used that quote and reported pretty much the same thing as the Globe did:

Regina Leader Post

National Post

Canadian Press

You mean the comments by Gerry Ritz where he chuckles about people who died from listeriosis? Apparently, another death popped up today. Ritz peed's his pants, he was laughing so hard.

The Green Shift is the only policy of the Liberal's that warrants its own slick website. Major platform plank it is.

Constant emphasis on the revenue neutrality would have helped and reminding Canadians it was the Liberals who balanced the budget would have helped calm concerns that the Green Shift would tilt us back into deficit.

His stupidity is a clear justification to ditch the liberal major party plank, the green shift?

I love your reasoning.

BTW. I think the guy should have resigned, and since he did not do that, been fired. There were enough people at liblogs adressing his stupidity.

However, it's perfectly fine for your party to do a 180 with regards to the green shift, and not even talk about it.

Except on this blog. Not all liberals are sheeple.

It hasn't done a 180, so stop lying.

Meanwhile, has any other Conservative Party official called the members turds recently?

You mean a deficit we're already in, thanks to Dim Jim Flim Flam Flaherty?

You Cuntservatives are real pieces of work.
