Yin & Yang At G20 Summit

On the one hand, the Harper Tories have demanded a vast shrubbery as their signature green initiative at the G-20 summit; on the other hand, they're removing trees, for security reasons, in the city core.

What a waste. As noted in the Finacial Post "You'd need an axe to cut the thing down. And if you've already got an axe, you wouldn't need a tree."

Toronto doesn't elect Conservative MPs, but the whole thing is getting ridiculous.

Yeah, while the Conservatives have the Afghan situation, Jaffer/Guergis, and have to justify G20 costs to the 78% of the public who don't think they're justified at all.

... Does either the Liberals or the Conservatives look that good right now?

Crazy isn't it? Leamington, Ontario has been devastated by a tornado losing many trees, some of which were over 200 years old, and Harper puts trees in for a photo-op - why not give trees to Leamington.
