...out of the oil patch after Thursday, no matter how soft the Tories new emissions targets, goals, regulations etc. might be. Expect more whiny bullshit like:
We're seeing an industry now really with no leadership in Western Canada, nobody seems to be speaking up for this industry and when they do, nobody wants to say anything of substance...It's really an industry predicated on soft love.'
Because, as someone who has worked with PACS of various industry lobby groups for years, that's what they do: they whine like welfare queens. Like the guy in The Terminator said, that's ALL THEY DO.
You know as a lobbyist that you've hit the sweet spot when an industry friendly government says: we must have found the middle, because we've offended both sides of the issue. Ever since offending both sides became the acid the test for being in the political Center, lobby groups, no matter how much free candy they get handed, have made a point to feign offense.

"what's that smell??" - it's uninformed people.
Harper waited nearly a year and a half to provide promised money to Ontario to aid the closing down of the plants. It was money the Liberals were going to give Ontario and Harper in his campaign "promised" he would honour that - well, he waits until now? Only for campaign vote buying points when really this should have come over a year and a half ago.
Get your story straight before you criticize.
So have you all parked your cars and converted from natural gas heating? Or don't you think you should save the earth?
Calling Gore a hypocrite and saying "you Ontario crybaby" is obnoxious.
Next question.
"So have you all parked your cars and converted from natural gas heating? Or don't you think you should save the earth? "
Are you saying that if we all park our cars and convert to Natural Gas heating (been using it for decades) we will save the earth?
Save the earth from what?

Just remember BCL if the Tories are as tough on the Alberta oil patch as you would like this will definitely slow the Alberta economy which has been by far the strongest driver of our prosperity in Canada these last 5 years. This will mean less equalisation payments to the rest of Canada and I sure Ontario will be more then happy to make up the difference.
Albertans contribute almost 3 times more per person into equalisation payments to the “have not” providences then the people of Ontario do. Any policy that hurts the Alberta economy will only hurt the “have not” provinces as well. Ontario will have no choice but to make up for what Alberta can no longer contribute.
I know that for most of you Alberta haters and global warming will destroy the planet believers, seeing Alberta put in its place and turn into just another “have not” province will make you smile until that is the Canadian economy moves into recession and you lose your job.
Be careful what you wish for people, you may just get it.

Gore is a Yank who, like Trump, loves publicity and is simply warming up and trying to get money for a run to the Whitehouse. His lifestyle is hypocritical, that much is clear. Some of his message, however, may have validity.
