Writers Needed

From Craigslist:

We are a social media company working for a political organization, hired to help balance the left-wing bias of the major media outlets by supplying a team of writers who will post to newspaper comments, media forums, FB pages, etc. We are NOT officially afiliated with Harper campaign.

You writing must be strong, right-wing and use supplied talking points without bogging down in too much detail. You are creating an online persona with a consistent tone. Ideally you can find or make up facts and statistics to stir controversy. Where suited humour, sarcasm and personal insults are welcome.

Wonder if this is real or a put-on. "Affiliated" is spelled wrong, but then, they are supposed to be a right-wing front. Anyway, you can send a writing sample to job-f922t-2291333753@craigslist.org.

Be sure to make up some facts.

I want to vote that as "the best of Craigslist" - because it really is gold.

I just clicked on the Craigslist link to find that the ad has been flagged and removed. Very interesting.

"Your writing must be strong, right wing"

Sort of a catch 22 isn't it?

Anyone have any ideas about chasing down whether this is real or a prank? The poor spelling throughout does seem to suggest the latter. I tried to email them but by the time I did, it was already taken down.

Lorne, when you click through the text of post I still see it.

OK - isn't this enough evidence that wilson, ridenrain, and the other regular CPofC sock-puppets should be classed as spam on all non-Con blogs?

The thing is, if I applied with a few witty, intelligent criticisms of Ignatieff, who's to say they wouldn't just rip off my writing and not give me the job? Maybe they have realised that ridenrain et al can't do witty and intelligent.

You mean I can get paid for this?

Ka Ching! RnR gets a nickle.

..only paid in Conservative party products though. I already have a garage built from Conservative travel mugs.

I've seen similar postings on kijiji recently regarding some of the Ford-related market research firms "looking to hire this week and next week."

hmmmm :/

Wonder what they are paying,... I could just rip off some Dodo and Smell Dead Animals and Burning Cat Foo

We have to do this. All of your hacks already work at the CBC.

Hey Zorph! Add one of Iceman's hyper partisan polls, it'd be complete!

You go for it Ridobrain! Don't forget us mere mortals and your lowly connie troll friends when you become rich and famous!

Broadsides has a screen print of the ad. I would think it is probably legit and just another way of trying to get around election spending limits under the radar. Oh those Cons - earning their name every day in every way.
