Guergis To Be Dumped, Gallant In?

Until about 7:00 AM this morning, Bourque was reporting this as "inside info" from one of his government sources: the Tories might dump Minister of State for the Status of Women Helena Guergis from cabinet over her husband's legal problems, and replace her with Cheryl Gallant. Gallant's qualifications--and I am working from memory here--were that she was "female, rural, blonde, and from Ontario".

Now its gone from B's front page and I have no screen capture. Don't know what happened there, but some party insiders have indeed suggested moving Ms. Guergis out of the limelight until the hubby's legal issues are resolved. So far, the google cache of the page doesn't show that bit of text. Any idea how often it updates?

Gallant, eh?

I remember her. I also remember that she was one of the reasons why the Conservatives lost in 2004. A run down of a few of her greatest hits: (Just For Laughs struggling???)

Please, please tell me this is true! I would love it if Gallant could be fodder again.

This has to be a joke. Seriously.

Gallant as SOW Minister? Come on. That would be like making Gary Goodyear the Minister of Science and Technology. It'll never happen.

I doubt it - Gallant is one of the MP's Harper hides (from the media) during election campaigns.

She's not the brightest penny in the jar.

You're being too kind, Sandi. She's batshit insane.

While Guergis might be moved aside, I suspect Gallant's name was mentioned by Dourque's source only to determine if he is indeed stupid enough to believe absolutely anything.
