Looks like sales of Paul Wells fawning ode to Stephen Harper, Right Side Up: the Fall of Paul Martin and the Rise of Stephen Harper's New Conservatism, is seriously tanking, even in Tory strong-holds like Calgary. Of course, when your book contains almost zero in the way of new revelations (as Wells admitted in his CBC interview), and the "analysis" runs along the lines of "...within a few days, Stephen Harper had regained his political mojo" (from the same interview), then you're dealing in pretty thin gruel. I wouldn't read the book anyway, but if I were to offer advice to Mr. Wells, I'd probably suggest some gratuitous nudity. Is there anyone in the CPC that doesn't have more wattles than a barnful of turkeys? If so, recruit them and get an ass shot.
You know, I have often wondered why, with certain books, for example books on Canadian politics, publishers don't just insist that the term "Remaindered" be included as part of the cover art. It would save bookstores all kinds of money on ink-stamps.
