As Don Martin

...speaks, so too is Don Martin refuted:

Asked which party they would vote for were a federal election held tomorrow, 32.6 per cent of respondents said they would cast their ballots for Stephen Harper's Tories, while the same percentage opted for Michael Ignatieff's Liberals, EKOS said.

[...]

The Liberals have erased a small but persistent lead enjoyed by the Tories throughout most of the summer by improving their fortunes in the battleground province of Ontario, EKOS said.

Maybe Mr. Martin is waiting on one of those "special" Ipsos polls exclusive to CanWest media.

And how will the Cons attempt to bring the polls back to them?

I know what one of the main 'hot dog' circuit arguments will be. That renovation credit. You know, the one that hasn't actually been passed into law yet as being a valid tax reimbursement. The 'stimulus' thing the Cons have been touting all spring and summer on media, constantly as a done deal, absolutely no hint that it's just a suggestion, not legal already.

The thing the Cons are now going to use as a bribe to voters, because - and it's already started - if they don't get re-elected, people who faithfully did renovations *expecting* the credit, *believing* the credit was already a done deal and legal, will not get the credit, because the big bad Liberals won't let them have the credit.

Which, and I admit I'm cynical, seems to be straight up vote buying to me. But it will work, because even after being essentially grifted, those that invested in the renovations don't want to lose that potential 1300 dollars.

It's twice now Rob's trolled a Liberal blog about the CHRC decision. You'd think someone who's responsible for an embarrassingly incoherent mess such as this wouldn't want to draw so much attention to himself.
