Blame Canada!!
A US Airways jet crashed landed into the Hudson River near Manhattan this afternoon, plunging its 156 crew and passengers, including one infant, into freezing waters after apparently hitting a flock of [apparently Canadian] geese.
Wonderful to see everyone safe, but if there is any residual anger among my American readers, please feel free to rename them "Freedom Geese". Up here, frankly, we regard them as a bit of an embarrassment.

I just hope Bush doesn't use the excuse that the perpetrators were Canadian to invade us for our oil
