This Guy Kicks Ass

How Hard? It seems that The Blogging Tories in Their Own Words website has managed to shame Stephen Taylor into removing the revolting Dodo Can Spell from the BT blogroll. That's the first time that's happened I caught Bill Whatcott bragging about the feces bomb he'd sent to the Governor General. So its good to know that Stephen has at least a nascent sense of shame.

And what's with Ezra Levant? His posts haven't appeared on the BT site for awhile now (weeks?), and I don't see him listed on the blogroll. I emailed Taylor a couple of days ago asking, but there's been no response.

And They Fell Into Chaos

...or at least killed the twitter feed to the BT home page. This lame piece of crap has been up since Friday evening.
Good work, brothers and sisters! Power must surely be ours most soonest!
I will be dispensing patronage appointments in June/July. Anyone interested in a Senate seat? Contact me via private email.

National Post Getting Less National All The Time

Bourrie observes:

Friends tell me notices have appeared on National Post boxes in downtown Toronto saying they will no longer be serviced after Saturday. Similar (or the same) notices popped up on boxes at service centres on Highway 401 east of Toronto earlier this week.

He also points out that the paper is essentially high-tailing it out of Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Another, perhaps relevant series of factoids: BCLSB regular Jermo Sapiens recently placed this piece in both the National Post's on-line and print editions, but received nothing in the way of recompense. Now, I remember The Star publishing some of my stuff as Op-Eds back in the 1990s, at which time they paid out $150 per article. Finally, if you read the on-line NP these days, you'll see a fair bit of content being supplied by various Blogging Tories (Taylor and Janke esp.). So, as things go sour on The Natty Post, are they turning to writers who are willing to wordsmith for free? Are they using bloggers as unpaid labor?

PS. The Natty Post website is silent on what they pay for Op-Eds.

A Last Note On The Free D Fiasco: Where Were The Blogging Tories?

One thing that I wondered about throughout the whole Free Dominion affair was: where are the Blogging Tories? Other than a few hard-cores like Flanders (who is, by the way, about to throw in the towel on his website), there seemed very little in the way of response.

Well, one reason for this seems to be that their leader, Stephen Taylor, was actively discouraging discussion of the issue (at least on the BT forums):

Just a moderator's note: Please do not repost material from FreeDominion that is the subject of the CHRC complaint. Doing so exposes us, and this warning serves as clear notice that we will pursue civil action against anyone that in turn exposes us to CHRC action related to this complaint against FreeDominion.

Translation: here's a warning that says if you get us in trouble with the CHRC for material we've warned you not to post, we will do what we can to recover our damages (from you) because this warning also indicates that as moderators and site owners, that we don't want to have anything to do with the material that lands a person (rightly or wrongly -- which is another debate) with a human rights complaint.

A gutsy bunch, and telling that they should fall into line so easily. Its a strange world when you are deriving most of your support from your political enemies.

Also, I will probably not being posting as often, or as extensively, over the course of the next couple of weeks. Hopefully BCLSB won't descend to a stream of cheap booby jokes, but of course I can promise nothing.

Rating The Blogging Tories

Yesterday, I wrote about this site, where you can rate blogs and other webpages as though they were movies. So, for example, BCLSB gets an "R" based on my use of "ass" and "pussy", among other naughty-naughties.

So I'm patrolling the Blogging Tories site and I start wondering how these guys would stack up, and I began running their blogs through the Mingle2 rating system. And I must say that I was appalled!...no...APPALLED!!!! but what I discovered.

Perhaps least surprising was the number of total G-rated lamers on the right side of the political spectrum . It is, frankly, like wandering around in Disney-Land, except in Disney-Land the gays have all come out of the closet.

For example, Janke gets his dweeb friendly label by failing entirely to mention boobies or sexual parts of any kind. Porn it up, Stevie boy, porn it up! And how angry can you be if you don't drop the occasional f-bomb? Drop me a line and I'll even email you the correct spelling!

Less unusual is the fact that Greg Staples earned a G-rating. He's the one we call the "nice Conservative". In fact the only surprise is that he appears to have employed the term "shit" on one occasion. Probably spilled something on his tie.

Now here's a bit of a shocker. Kate only swings a PG- 13 rating. But I suppose you could say that this is a deliberate attempt on her part to spread Evil without attracting alot of negative attention.

On the other hand, the beer soaked dude from Dust My Broom is speaking a language I understand. One of the very few Canadians of native extraction crazy enough to lean Conservative (kind of like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders), his "R" seems to have been earned more for Violence than Sex, although apparently he's used both "assholes" and "knife" together on several occasions, so maybe he's just a little more imaginative than I am.

And now the good part. Whom among the Blogging Tories is willing to truly wallow in the filth and go for the coveted NC-17? Who, in short, are the dirtiest Tories:

Flanders at SoCon or Bust gets tagged with an NC-17 based on the occurrence of the following:

breast (16x)
sex (7x)
death (3x)
hurt (2x)
gun (1x)

Yo Flanders, see a shrink. I can recommend a good one if you like.

I always suspected that, beneath Suzanne's pious exterior, their lurked a kitten with a whip. From this:

sex (3x)
drugs (1x)

...one can only assume that somewhere on Big Blue Wave is a story about a (Catholic?) girl who does drugs and has sex with 3 men. I haven't found it yet, but you know how I'll be spending my weekend.

So there you have it. The BTs are just like us, except maybe even a little more potty-mouthed.
