Will The LPoC Counter-Attack Ad Work?

How the heck am I supposed to know?  I will say one thing: you can watch this ad and not feel unclean at the end.  That in itself is in strong contrast to its Conservative counterparts.

"Build a better country".

How? Care to be specific? EVER?

Serious still not an ounce of substance and not a single national issue addressed.

Yeah because the best place to unroll a platform is in a 30 second spot.

Haters got to hate.

Anyone see any of those Action Plan ads recently? Have they ditched them for the Trudeau ads?

By replacing the corrupt and ideologically bankrupt Harper Conservative government? That's what the ad says to me.

Haters also gonna be dumb.

I liked the ad. It was good, he said little but what can he do, talk policy in a 30sec ad. He has way more charisma than the robot in a cardigan.

At least the conservative ads about Justin were full of policy ideas and specifics. Oh wait....no they weren't.

It seems that a leadership campaign is not the best place either. But whatever eh?

And Trudeau's drooling lovers have to be consistent. Haters have to hate? And we know how much you loved the Tory ads......ANY of them no matter how accurate they were. So by all means carry on. :D

Hey, it didn't hurt the Conservatives during the 2004 leadership race. Harper, Stronach, and Clement spent most of their time trashing each other.

Here's Clement and Harper talking about why the other guy sucks lemons.

Here's a site that tried to breakdown their policies (note the empty spaces... and best not to look at the promise about the Senate)

A year later, Harper's website got converted to one that sells ink jet cartridges.

... Maybe Kinsella's right about going negative. ;D

Not being a party person I watched both ads with a certain amount of trepidation.
The first one was apparently based on a lie, which continues the trend of this current governing party in lieing and their supporters in continually excusing them for it. It was also a rater seedy attempt at telling the viewer that Trudeau was bad because he apparently looks better clothed and unclothed than the Conservatives.
The second one was a reply by the target of the first one to the first ad.So in all honesty I would not expect any great explanation of policy here, I would expect Trudeau to take exception to the first ad and the motives of the people behind it; which he did.

Trudeau may be a vacuous person who doesn't give any information when he addresses the camera, but then so was and is Harper. Any criticism of one by the supporters of the other reeks of double standards.

Where Trudeau's side have the edge though is that he really hasn't F**ked up the country as much as Harper has yet and he hasn't been such a douche yet. He probably will do and will be, but right now he hasn't. Sometimes your record of experience isn't the boon it should be.

@ sharon - Are you against all govt advertising or just conservative? I see ads for Ontario and the city of Toronto as well. The previous Liberal govt did it also as probably every provincial govt.

Speaking of hate - Boy wonder cslled an MP a piece of sh!t. So much for being refined.
