Looking at the NDP numbers, one could make cheap jokes about "electile dysfunction", but we are above that here at BCLSB. The Green party spike is fascinating and, I hope, permanent. Having even one GP rep has made an out-sized difference not only federally with Canadian Hero Lizzy May as an MP, but out in B.C. where Andrew Weaver has been stirring up shit like nobody's business as an MLA. Electing a Green MPP in Ontario would be like a refreshing taste of spearmint in the stale air down at Queen's Park.
PS. Yes just writing about Ontario polls is lazy but nothing else has got me really juiced the past couple of weeks.
"It is not clear whether you have given up on progressive voters or you are taking them for granted."
The money statement from http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/ontario-votes-2014/andrea-horwath-campaign-leaves-prominent-ndp-supporters-deeply-distressed-1.2652766?cmp=rss
I wish the increase by the Greens is real. A second poll (oh hated polls!) is needed. Can only hope.
You can't make an absurd joke then say you are above it. But it's probably best to wait til election night before celebrating the Liberals' sleazing their way to victory (or the NDP falling to their doom, whatever your heart's desire...)
Poor Waller has worked himself up into a lather over Horwath's meltdown. For a self-proclaimed non-partisan he has a Tea Partyesque zealotry for the NDP.
As for the Greens, a good many of us first went to the party after becoming disaffected and wanting a place to park our votes. Only after you arrive do you discover you're actually at home with the party.
Good to see you haven't lost your sense of humor.
I thought Waller's site was satire.
Of course BCL seems a bit too happy about these polls.
