Just A Thought

The oh so horrible errors in the Telegraph Journal's "cracker caper" story (I'm tired of wafer-gate), which inspired a front page apology and got editor-in-chief Shawna Richer fired--are still there in the on-line version of the Telegraph-Journal story. Or at least the current and cached versions are identical.

Strange bunch, over there at the TJ, to make such a big fuss and then make no corrections.

Is that standard practise? It's journalistically unethical. An addendum to the original story is how it should be handled, although I don't know how our screwy defamation laws view it.

Maybe, but there isn't an addendum either. I'm going by what the journalist dude at "Regret The Error" is saying.

I just think it's hilarious how the Conservatives and their surrogates dig themselves into a deeper hole every time they address some mishap.

If this isn't Liberal ratfucking, it should be. You don't even have to be a particularly licentious rat. Just a wink is all that's necessary; the wingnuts' paranoia and their boundless ability to assert something without evidence will do the rest.

That's the big difference between Conservatives and everyone else. You don't see normal people running around rationalising, lying and fabricating grandiose conspiracies when a non-Conservative gets caught doing something. Everyone just waits for the evidence to come to light.
