A Brief Note From The Climate Wars: Klaus Heiss Dies

Klaus P. Heiss, of The High Frontier, has passed away:

Klass was a true believer in the cause of commercial space and had worked hard to create a commercial shuttle capability.

In recent years, Heiss also took up the cause of climate change denial, and wound up on Inhofe's list, although one of his pet projects was a lunar based solar power system that might serve as the "low emission generation technology of the future". He was also a director at the SEPP, a denialist group founded by Fred Singer.

Climate wars? With the defeat of climate legislation in the US, it looks more like a rout.

The political system in the US is known for its gridlock. It's always a miracle when something passes.

As for this symbolizing a rout on the climate war... the US is a holdout on a few things like the metric system and universal health care that most develop countries have adopted. Things can exist outside of the US that don't exist inside it.

Just wanted to add that politics have noting to do with science anyway.

Anti-science may win political battles, but the science is still there, tomorrow and the next day.
It's not going anywhere, dumstrum.

Reading your post, the perfect solution came to me: Ship all the fossil fuels to the moon and burn them there, relaying the energy back to Earth. This not only gets rid of the terrestrial CO2, but it helps the moon develop a greenhouse-gas atmosphere so it can warm up to be colonizable.

What? You say the moon lacks the oxygen necessary for combustion. Oh . . .
