Fox News North Owner Freeps Own Poll

MONTREAL - The CEO of Quebecor, Pierre Karl Peladeau is the person most prominent in the economic sphere in 2010, according to respondents to a Leger Marketing poll conducted on behalf of the Agency QMI.

Just to be clear: Peladeau owns Quebecor, and Quebecor owns QMI.

I guess he's entitled to his entitlements.

hi BCL...it's important to note that the "survey" asked people to decide who left the biggest mark on the economy. Which in Peladeau's case also involves his two-year lockout of his employees at the Journal de Montreal. As well as his involvement with the Quebec City rink project, and his much ridiculed decision to sue the head of Radio Canada for calling him a voyou or a yob.
In other words things that left their mark, but are hardly worth celebrating.
Finally, one should also note who came second, trailing Peladeau by only 12 percentage points: Earl Jones the notorious swindler who was recently sentenced to 11 years in jail for running a massive ponzi scheme.
When you look at the "survey" that way I find it helps... :)
