Tory Turmoil In Simcoe Gray?

COLLINGWOOD — A candidate for the Simcoe-Grey Conservative nomination says an endorsement letter that went out 'penned' by Simcoe County's warden was a result of a "big miscommunication."

Cal Patterson, who is also mayor of Wasaga Beach, said he was "furious" when a letter enthusiastically endorsing Dr. Kellie Leitch showed up at his door late last week — signed by him.

A miscommunication? Isn't forging a signature illegal?

Helena shall romp.

You forgot/chose to OMIT the fact the team outed his "private" support for her and used his standing in the community to advance hers. She has already cleared up the matter on her website.

"Patterson acknowledged he had provided Leitch support at several events, but that was as a private individual, and not as a public official."

It appears grasping at straws is becoming a pattern within the Liberal blogs.

CS, the consummate channel changer. And troll.

While CS's point might be somewhat valid, I think it speaks volumes as to the credibility/accountability of a candidate who will use the name and standing of a public official on endorsement letters that are being sent to conservative party members as well as offering up quotes by Patterson on her website without even bothering to ask him if it was okay to use his name and discourse for her nomination campaign.

It speaks volumes about her behaviour and political objectives, really I hope it breaks her chance of being nominated.

If you note the later post, this story is a little bit bigger than Cal Patterson.
